This is a tutorial for MC Model Maker 0.1.0 . Please visit http://mcmodelmaker.weebly.com/guide.html if you are using a newer version. MC Model Maker (MCMM) requires Java 0.6+ and should run on all major Operating Systems (Requires a screen resolution of at least 1200x800). BEFORE YOU START! Be careful, your progress will be lost if you don't copy the Raw JSON before exiting! If you are on Mac OSX or Linux, you can place a 16x16 image named "BackgroundForMCMM.png" (Case sensitive) in the root directory, which is just "/". It won't work on Windows as the root directory is "C://". When starting, you should see three green squares in the middle of the screen, a row of buttons at the top and text along the left. To start making your model, visualise what it would look like in an orthogonal view then left click where the top left of the first cube of your model should be in at least two of the grids. If you make a mistake you can either left click again or press the middle mouse button on your mouse to set the values of the grid your mouse is in to 0. This must be configured in Mac OSX. Now right click where you would like the bottom right hand corner of your voxel in at least two grids. The top left corner is known as the "Origin", the bottom right corner is the "Base". If you click Raw Preview, you can select everything then copy the text to your clipboard using Ctrl/Cmd C. Use Ctrl/Cmd V to paste it into a text file and test it in Minecraft. If you click the drop down box that says 0 and click on a different number, you can make a new Voxel, but before we do that, we need to edit our UV Values. Click the "Swap Editor" Button in the top bar. there should be a grid full of green, a bit of text on the near right and two pictures on the far right. Like the Voxel Editor, if you left click, you will place the origin, and if you right click, you will place the base. Clicking the words, North, South, East, etc, will change the selected face you are editing. If you click the crafting table with the tick or cross, it will toggle face culling for the selected face, clicking the half grass - half crafting table will allow you to change the texture for the selected face. You can now repeat for each Voxel set by clicking the drop down box and selecting a new Voxel. You can always change back to edit an older Voxel. Before you export your model, you can change the model options, only Ambient Occlusion and the particle texture work at the moment. Clicking "Change particle texture" will bring up a dialog like the change texture buttons, and can be used the same. To export your model, press the "Raw Preview" Button and select and copy everything inside, and paste it into a text editor.
